Market Update
December was off to a busy start with an unusual uptick in activity. I suspect it was a combination of post-election pent-up demand and the growing acceptance that interest rates aren't likely to drop substantially anytime soon.
By the 10th or so, activity has slowed down quite a bit, and as I've been telling my sellers, I don't think the short time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is doing the market any favors. Early to mid-January should bring an uptick in activity once buyers get back to business after the holidays.
If staying in San Diego is a part of your long-term plan, purchasing a home is still your best option.
